Related Industries

Aerospace

Over $275 billion of the U.S. Department of Defense budget is spent on contractors and suppliers annually. For NASA, it’s $15 billion. The proportion of these funds that make it to Wyoming companies is very small, and in most cases, smaller than anywhere else in the nation. Government contracting can be a difficult process to navigate and we have the resources to help Wyoming innovators and companies get started in this space.

Nanotechnology

Future product breakthroughs will rely on nanoscale materials and processes. The backbone of Wyoming’s economy since statehood has been carbon molecules. Nanotechnology will play an important part in the diversification of the Wyoming’s economy. Numerous breakthroughs are helping to revolutionize energy, information technology, homeland security, medicine, transportation, and environmental science.

Composites

Composites are unique combinations of individual components. When two or more materials, minerals, or textiles are combined, the most useful traits of each component improves the outcome or final product. Composites are typically designed with a particular use in mind, like increased strength, heat management, and durability. Wyoming has plentiful natural resources and numerous industry leaders in composite materials.
